The program is dedicated to the creativity and the qualitative Importance of the Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis.
Henning Schmiedt is closely connected in music since the early 90s with Theodorakis.
He has since been closely doing concerts with Theodorakis and is working as a musical ambassador of the 1925 born Composers .
Henning Schmiedt arranged and produced the production of CDs Asmata and Poetica by Theodorakis interpreted by Maria Farantouri, co-arranged the Canto General by Theodorakis for symphonic Concerts in Linz / Austria and Montreal / Canada and arranged the Kostas Kariotakis opera.
He was musical director and arranger of the Mauthausen-cycle for a Concert in the Holocaust Memorial Center in Washington DC and arranged for the Millennium event at the Athens Acropolis (worldwide by CNN and BBC broadcast)
Musical director of the gala concert for Mikis Theodorakis 75th Birthday on the Munich Königsplatz (with Milva, Maria Farantouri, Petros Pandis, Jocelyn B. Smith)
