The name Pamagiera is a play on words,
And the fun and imaginative play with melodies, rhythms and styles has characterized the interaction between Volker Holly Schlott on the saxophone and Henning Schmiedt on the piano from the very beginning.
For their two study albums, produced by Ulf Drechsel, the two of them have repeatedly worked with well-known artists, such as the bassist Martin Lillich, the percussionist Tupo Gioia, or at live concerts with the Kanoun virtuoso Khalil Karaduman or the Greek diva Maria Farantouri.
Pamagiera is particularly connected to the percussionist Uli Moritz, who takes part in all studio productions and also had an outstanding role live.
