Ferne ist weit mehr als eine Hommage an Zülfü Livaneli, den Renaissance Menschen vom Bosporus .
Das zweite Album von Peter Dahm und Henning Schmiedt ist eine künstlerische Freundschaftserklärung, ein musikalischer Brückenschlag zwischen Ost und West.

Der Pianist Henning Schmiedt arbeitet mit Livaneli bereits seit Anfang der 90ger Jahre zusammen.
Peter Dahm ist Saxofonist und Initiator von Konzertreihen und interkulturellen Projekten. Beide haben in den Jahren ihrer Zusammenarbeit eine sensible musikalische Sprache entwickelt, die von Kommunikation und musikalischen Ausdruck geprägt ist.
Alle Melodien sind speziell konzertant für Saxofone und Klavier bearbeitet worden.

Ferne is much more than a tribute to Livaneli, the Renaissance man of the Bosphorus.
The second album by Peter Dahm and Henning Schmiedt is an artistic declaration of friendship, a musical bridge between East and West.

The pianist Henning Schmiedt collaborates with Livaneli since the early 90s.
Peter Dahm is saxophonist and initiator of concert series and cross-cultural Projects. Both developed in their collaboration a sensitive musical language, rich in communication and expression.

All the tunes are specially arranged for saxophone and piano.
